Mask Sterilization System

Success Story: Support new mask factory under Convid-19
Sensor for Sterilizing N95 Surgical Masks system
N95

Overview:

The growth in the global N95 masks market had traditionally been impacted by serious emergency health conditions and periodic pandemic outbreaks.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic resulted in an exponential global demand for personal protective equipment (PPE). The outbreak of the pandemic has resulted in an enormous demand for N95 masks as an effective measure to prevent the spread of the infection. As conventional medical masks hold limited effectiveness against viruses such as COVID-19, medical institutions and healthcare organizations were recommending the use of N95 masks capable of filtering around 95% of materials.

Problem:

Since March 2020, many mask factories ramped up production of their N95 respirator masks, as the coronavirus pandemic intensifies in parts of the world. Also, some startup companies were poised to open a new N95 mask factory possibly within weeks.

Besides mask machinery, pressure and vacuum switches were very critical which were measuring sensors for sterilizers, gas flow control, and diagnostic imaging systems. Many local machined components factories did not have sufficient production capacity to produce high-volume components in a short period of time.

Approach:

Boly has been supplying the medical market with pressure and vacuum switches for many years. We understand how complicated the specifying process is because we have delivered hundreds of thousands of components for sensor customers. Although our factory also suffered during the first stage of the pandemic, our lead production system supported us to manage and run all machines efficiently. We supplied precise stainless steel machined components for pressure switch manufacturers within 2 weeks. All switches are temperature resistant, reliable, robust, assembled, and packaged. It helped mask machinery to build up the mask production line without the machined parts shortage problem.

Result:

Our efforts help many mask factories and build new mask factories within 3 months. Customers meet their goal to make 1 million N95 masks a day by domestic production.
